Sportsmen, residents and dear guests,

For the past 29 years the Tamar Regional Council, along with the Dead Sea Regional Enterprises Company, has produced the International Ein Gedi race in memory of Giora and Tomer Ron. Over the years, this race has attracted thousands of participants, amongst them trained sportsmen, sports and nature lovers, who have joined the race to enjoy the unique combination of breathtaking views, sports atmosphere and the fact that it is an international event, meticulously planned and that provides the full experience to those participating.

I invite you to come, once again this year, and take part in the Ein Gedi race 2012 and enjoy the unique experience the Dead Sea area offers. To run along the Dead Sea beaches, enjoy the walk in the serene desert and absorb the surrounding air and nature, alongside the sea that provides a true natural wander.

The Dead Sea Regional Enterprises Company and the Tamar Regional Council welcome this year, once again, the thousands of runners who will arrive from all over the world to take part in the race. For many, this will be their first visit to the area, for others the Dead Sea is a way of life. I invite you all to take an active part in the race and join the all-sports and nature event in the lowest place in the world.
